On May 5, 2020 Saint George Hospital University Medical Center witnessed the birth of a quintuplets, in a rare case, for a Lebanese mother who gave birth to three daughters and two boys, all of them, as well as the mother, in good health.
The quintuplets’ family consists of the father, the mother, and a 2 years little girl.
The case has been closely followed up to manage any potential complication, the mother was admitted to the hospital five weeks ago and Dr. Nadim Hajal decided to perform a cesarean section on the 30th week of pregnancy. All the departments concerned including pediatricians, legal midwives and nurses from the neonatal intensive care department, were ready and thrilled to welcome the quintuplets.
