July in Lebanon is Summer at its Utmost, Watch for Sunburn & Dehydration!
Although exposure to sunlight has proven beneficial in maintaining adequate levels of Vitamin D and enhancing mood, but it also carries health risks that include skin cancer, skin aging, sunburn and dehydration.
Tips on how to enjoy your summer without posing risks to your health:

Minimize your sun exposure during the peak time between 11 am to 2 pm.

Wear protective clothing and equipment including sunglasses with UV rays protection and a hat with wide brim.

Apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or above that protects from both UVA & UVB rays before exposure to sun and regularly during exposure (Web MD).

Increase fluid intake during summer, especially water.

Refrain from artificial tanning.

Consult your physician in case of sunburns or signs or dehydration after sun exposure including dizziness, dry mouth and skin, decreased urine output and fatigue.
