Since its establishment in 1993, the Pain Management Clinic manages different medical and surgical specialties aimed at delivering a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of pain.
New strategies for acute and chronic pain management had to be adopted in order to move from the experimental and preliminary treatment paradigms to a broader understanding of the mechanisms and pathogenesis of pain and hence pain control.
At this unit, pain in different locations is treated according to international standards and recommendations.
